ADULTS

Adult Christian Education – Adults have two opportunities for Christian education during the week.

On Sunday from 9:15-9:45, they gather together for a study led by a member of the congregation who is an ELCA deacon.

On Wednesday from 3:00-4:00, they gather for a Bible study led by Pastor Kurt.

The Wednesday study is available in person and online simultaneously.

Spiritual Gifts Inventory – In 1 Corinthians 12:4-5, Paul writes, "Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord."  Have you ever wondered what your spiritual gifts are?  Have you ever hoped that it would be as easy as just answering a few questions to find out?  Well, then click here to take a Spiritual Gifts Inventory.  This simple assessment can help you see some of the spiritual gifts God has given to you - and some of the great ways you can use them.  (Please note: this assessment does not cover all of the gifts God gives, but it does cover quite a few.)

Vandalia Butler Food Pantry – St. Paul actively supports the Vandalia Butler Food Pantry by donating food and by helping at the city wide food drives. The Vandalia Butler Food Pantry is located at 345 James E. Bohanan Drive in Vandalia, Ohio.  The pantry was originated through St. Christopher Church and has been in existence since 1973.  It is governed by a Chairman and 5 appointed officers. The pantry delivers food to Vandalia and Butler Township families once a month, Monday through Friday excluding holidays.  It averages around 80 families a month and approximately 180 – 200 people a month.  Everyone who works at the pantry volunteers their time, and the pantry is self-supportive.  Local organizations and churches provide and deliver the food.  In December, the pantry does a Christmas dinner with Santa including gifts to all the kids 12 and under.  St Paul is excited to be a part of this local ministry.

Operation Christmas Child – Operation Christmas Child is an exciting world-wide outreach ministry from Samaritan's Purse.  The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.  This happens during the fall months through the collection of shoe boxes filled with fun surprises for children in need.  These items can include small toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and so much more.  Plus, not only do the children receive these shoe box gifts, but they are also told about God's love for them in Jesus Christ.  Sine 1993, Operation Christmas Child has reached around 100 million children in more than 130 countries.  St Paul has been proud to be a part of Operation Christmas Child since 2009.  To learn more about this exciting ministry, visit their website here: https://www.samaritanspurse.org/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child/
